Avenue Q: Exploring Preservice Social Studies Teachers’ Beliefs About Learning Via Q Methodology

This study uses Q Methodology to explore a group of preservice teachers’ beliefs about how people learn. Results indicate that participants held nuanced but incongruent beliefs and that there is a need for a more explicit articulation of learning theory that supports justice-oriented education.
