Analyzing The Historical Contributions of Black and Filipino Miseducation Scholars In Social Studies Classrooms

This project in progress examines how Black and Filipino scholars (Carter G. Woodson, Renato Constantino) and musicians (Lauryn Hill, Ruby Ibarra) have contributed to learning theory through the concept of miseducation. I explore how analyses of these texts can be used in social studies and teacher education classrooms.
