Criticality In The Curriculum: An Evaluation of Lessons From The Jfk Presidential Library
The authors evaluated historical reasoning, use of critical lenses, and promotion of discussion in lesson plans from the JFK Presidential Library. The lessons incorporated diverse perspectives but did not encourage frame analysis or personal connection. Discussion was minimally scaffolded. Overall, the lessons have qualities worth emulating but areas for improvement.
