Black Teachers Connect: Social Studies and The Black Teacher Pipeline

Our research explores the potential of Black affinity spaces to bolster a Black social studies teacher pipeline. Answering Faison & McArthur’s call for building Black worlds within predominantly white colleges of education, we examine Black Teachers Connect, a space created for Black teacherscholars to build relationships and encourage each other.
