Examining The Impact of Lesson Study On Teacher Candidates’ Adoption of Aiw Practices

This study examines how lesson study supports social studies teacher candidates’ adoption of authentic intellectual work (AIW). Findings show candidates increasingly value higher-order thinking and substantive conversation as instructional tools, suggesting collaborative lesson study fosters integration of high-impact practices into future teaching.
