Doing Our Own Research: Facilitating Digital Inquiries Into Controversial Issues

This study investigated how 8th grade social studies teachers and their students embedded open internet research into a controversial issue inquiry. While the inquiry was pedagogically complex, the teachers guided students through the inquiry by helping them differentiate and apply different strategies as they investigated a controversial issue online.
