Efficiency As A Civic Risk: Early-Career Teachers’ Reflections On Efficiency and Pedagogical Loss
This paper explores how teachers make sense of the pressures of time, efficiency, and technology that shape professional practice. While dominant discourse frames efficiency neutrally, we illustrate the ways teachers identify and navigate profound relational, intellectual, and ethical losses they are finding in the face of such pressures.
