From Thinking Like An Economist To Organizing Like A Worker: A Critical Discourse Analysis of National Economics Standards and A Curricular Model For High School Labor Studies
This two-part paper draws on a critical discourse analysis of the National Content Standards in K-12 Economics as well as my practitioner experience with a high school Labor Studies curriculum. It finds that recentering worker organizing past and present is a powerful countercurrent to the neoclassical capture of economics education.
