“I Was Hired In Spite of My Background, Not Because of It”: A Case Study of A Palestinian American Social Studies Teacher
This case study examines a Palestinian American teacher navigating identity in predominantly white schools. Her experiences with anti-Palestinian racism shape her teacher identity and classroom decisions. Findings reveal exclusion and harm of Palestinian narratives. This research addresses gaps in Palestinian American teacher literature and the racism educators of Color face.
