Teaching Truth In The South: Asian American Educators Reclaiming Inclusive Narratives For Young Learners
This study examines how two Asian American elementary teachers in Georgia enact Ethnic Studies amid political hostility. Using AsianCrit and fugitive pedagogy frameworks, findings reveal how racialized identities and grassroots networks sustain community-responsive practices. Their "acts of refusal" position Southern classrooms as sites of marginalized truth-telling and transformative inquiry.
