Enacting Community Responsive Pedagogy Under Constraint: Elementary Teachers’ Practices In Anti-Dei Policy Contexts
This qualitative study examines how elementary teachers enact community responsive pedagogy under anti-DEI policy constraints. Drawing on interviews, observations, and collaborative inquiry, findings show teachers sustain justice-oriented teaching through ethical commitments, tactical navigation, and collective support, highlighting implications for elementary social studies education in politically restrictive contexts.
