Class Is Not In Session: Organized Labor and Class In Us High School State Standards

In this mixed methods study, we examined 51 US states’ social studies standards to see how frequently organized labor and class appeared and how those narratives were framed and included. We found that labor and class standards were infrequent and inclusion was generally if and when they reinforced capitalism.
