Denying Civic Literacies: An Analysis of Mahmoud V. Taylor Decision

This study considers how the US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruling of Mahmoud v. Taylor (2025) limits the speculative civic literacies of elementary school students. It uses Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine the ruling and to explore how current political forces are shaping countercurrents in civic education.
