Who Is A Social Studies Teacher? Mapping Tiktok's Algorithmic Answer

Millions of people encounter social studies teachers on TikTok. Amid political contestation over what gets taught in schools, the version of "social studies teacher" circulating with algorithmic authority matters. Through an analysis of search-generated video data, this study maps the discourses and hierarchies constituting TikTok’s construction of the profession.
