Design-Based Methodologies For Social Studies Education Research: Designing For Justice, Equity, and Action

Echoing prior efforts to illustrate their potential in social studies education scholarship, we highlight the promise of design-based methodological innovations from the Learning Sciences. We focus on DBM’s potential for emancipatory, activist scholarship that simultaneously answers calls in the field for increased relevance in social studies education scholarship.
