“Of Course, Women Should Be More Included…but…but…”: Pre-Service Teachers Struggle With The Role of Feminism In The Social Studies Classroom
This case study surfaces and centers the thinking and theorizing of pre-service social studies teachers on their thinking about teaching social studies through a feminist lens and with a feminist pedagogy. Participants agreed narratives of women should be more fully included but struggled with feminist pedagogical models and curriculum organization.
