Teaching At The Edge of Vulnerability: Preservice Teachers’ Decision-Making In Inquiry-Based and Inclusive Social Studies

This qualitative multi-case study examines how preservice elementary teachers understand and enact social studies instruction during student teaching. Grounded in teacher sensemaking and micropolitics, this study draws on interviews, lesson artifacts, and adapted stimulated recall to explore influences on practice and alignment between teachers’ understandings and instructional decisions.
