Inside the Classroom: Exploring Elementary Social Studies in Chicago (Offsite)

This educational site visit will take place at Jacob Beidler Elementary School, located in East Garfield Park on Chicago’s historic West Side. Given Chicago’s status as the third-largest school district in the United States and its diverse urban context, this visit offers participants a valuable opportunity to observe elementary social studies education in practice and gain insight into the experiences of teachers and students in a large urban school district.
